Surgical Preparatory Orthodontics

Nonsurgical orthodontics alone might not always be enough to correct issues like jaw abnormalities or severe malocclusions (misaligned bites). In these cases, a combination of orthodontics and surgery may be required. Surgical preparatory orthodontics occur before surgery and position teeth where they should be after your surgery is complete. Treatment may include alignment using braces or dentofacial orthopedics. If surgery is part of your treatment, our team will develop the surgical preparatory orthodontics plan that’s the best fit for you.

Pre-Prosthetic Orthodontics

Dental prosthetics like crowns, implants, veneers, and bridges are used to replace missing teeth and cover up unsightly dental defects. Sometimes, dentists are unable to use dental prosthetics without orthodontic treatment. Issues like misalignment, teeth crowding, or inadequate space may prevent the successful placement of a dental prosthetic. Pre-prosthetic orthodontics position teeth in the right places so that a prosthetic can be installed correctly. Working closely with your dentist, our doctors make sure your teeth have the correct alignment for a beautifully restored smile.
